SHOULD I USE NUMBING CREAM?

How numbing cream works: numbing contains ingredients that temporarily numb the skins surface. They work by blocking the nerve signals, reducing the pain you feel during procedures such as a tattoo.

Pros: for clients with low pain tolerance or tattoos in a more sensitive area of skin, numbing cream can help make the experience more comfortable.

less pain of course allows for a more positive experience for you!

Things to consider:

sometimes numbing cream can change the texture of your skin, potentially affecting the absorption and placement of ink and the initial stencil.

In some cases, numbing cream may also cause slight swelling to the area which can affect the outcome of a detailed design.

Fineline tattoos are typically smaller and less painful than traditional tattoos because fewer and finer needles are used. For this reason, many people find that they can get through the session without needing numbing cream.

WHY DO FINGER TATTOOS FADE?

Finger and hand tattoos are particularly susceptible to fading due to the frequent use of hands and constant exposure to various elements. In areas like the inside of fingers or hardworking hands, fading can be significant, sometimes up to 90% of the initial ink deposit.

This is an unavoidable aspect of fine-line tattoos, which use a small deposit of ink. Many artists choose not to offer finger or hand tattoos due to their high fade rate, so it's crucial to thoroughly research and understand this before getting one.

To maintain the appearance of your tattoo, touch-ups may be necessary every few years.
We highly recommend scheduling this for any hand or finger tattoos to ensure they look their best
